This page explains, in plain language, what AKQ Birds collects through this website and what happens to it. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and AKQ Birds is not a law firm — if you need this reviewed for a specific jurisdiction or regulation, please consult a qualified lawyer.

Who this policy covers

AKQ Birds (akqbirds.com) is a genetics-first Alexandrine parakeet breeding program run by Akbar Khan Qureshi, based in the United Arab Emirates. This policy applies to everyone who visits this website or submits a form on it.

What we collect

AKQ Birds only collects information you choose to submit yourself, through one of four forms on this site:

Register Interest — name, country, WhatsApp number, email, mutation or line preference, a specific pair or bird code (optional), sex preference, purpose, breeding experience, existing aviary lines, and any message you add.
Future Chick Waitlist — name, country, WhatsApp number, email, and the pair or line you're enquiring about.
Private Pair Details request — name, country, WhatsApp number, email, and the pair or bird you're asking about.
PDF Guide download request — name, country, WhatsApp number, email, and whether you're a breeder, keeper, or enthusiast.

Every form also includes a required consent checkbox, so nothing is submitted without your explicit agreement.

What we don't collect

This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and does not use cookies to identify or track visitors. The only browser storage used is localStorage, kept entirely on your own device and never transmitted anywhere — it just remembers small UI preferences such as which calculator tab you last had open, or whether you've already seen the welcome overlay. It contains no personal information and is never linked to anything you submit through a form.

How your information is used

Form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry: to register your interest in a line or pair, to add you to a chick waitlist, to review a private pair details request, or to send the PDF guide and answer related questions. AKQ Birds does not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

How submissions are delivered

Forms on this site are processed by FormSubmit, a third-party form-relay service that receives your submission and forwards it to AKQ Birds by email. FormSubmit is the only third party involved in handling form data. Please see FormSubmit's own privacy policy for how they handle data in transit.

How long we keep it

Submitted information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry or maintain breeding program records (for example, a waitlist entry is kept until the relevant chicks are placed or you ask to be removed). You can request deletion at any time — see "Your choices" below.

You can ask what information AKQ Birds holds about you.
You can ask for corrections to inaccurate information.
You can ask for your information to be deleted.
You can withdraw consent for future contact at any time.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and AKQ Birds does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information here, contact us and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date above.
